Originally from Grenville, Quebec, Johanne was influenced by her parents and paternal grandparents. Her musical journey began at the age of two when she entered a competition, winning first prize. At five, she sang "Alto" in the parish choir. From 1976 to 1984, she was a chorister and soloist in the Hawkesbury Mélodia choir and a member of the Troupe Jeune Un Jour, Jeune Toujours in St-Eugène. In the early 2000s, she performed several times at the Théâtre Le Petit Champlain in Old Quebec City, in addition to being a chorister for a performance by Roland Martel's Grand Orchestre (Big Band) and for other artists. Author, composer, and occasional performer, she has several songs to her credit, including three that have been published with a book by author Gilianne Fortin in France and Quebec. She has also been a guest artist on several occasions at performances by internationally renowned pianist Richard Abel. She brings comfort by lending her talent to bereaved families during funeral celebrations. For her, MUSIC is LIFE!
