THÉÂTRE et MUSIQUE
MUSIQUE LATINE & SOLO CONTÉ

Monday October 13, 2025 at 19:30

50e Programmation 25-26

SOLO CONTÉ with NATACHA MARLEAU
An autobiographical road trip story. Humor and musical surprises!
"This will be a humorous coming-of-age tale following the journey of a woman who, even as a little girl, seeks to escape the haunting world of childhood. It's unpretentious, very sympathetic, and a mix between a fairy tale and a monologue. The story is autobiographical, following the main character from childhood to his mid-thirties and showing the trials he goes through. His family is discussed, but there are also subtle references to the Vaudreuil-Soulanges region and, more specifically, the Soulanges landscape."

LATIN MUSIC with Luis Antonio Hernandez Olivia, Cuba
Luis Antonio Hernandez began taking music lessons as a trumpet player at a musical academy in his hometown of Cárdenas, Cuba, at a very young age. His career as a professional musician began in 1981 with the Cardenas Concert Band. At the same time, he continued his studies at the Rafael Somaville Professional Music School in Matanzas. Luis Antonio was also the band director of the Cuban Riviera Orchestra. For thirteen years, he led the Caribe music group. The group performed at various tourist hotels in Varadero.

50e Programmation 25-26

A song tour of the most beautiful French and English songs from the radio charts, from Edith Piaf and Adèle to Leonard Cohen.
With Johanne Desforges, singer-songwriter, Hawkesbury
Accompanied by Julien Lafrance, piano, and Martin Otis, violin.

There are songs that captivate us from the very first notes. They tell our stories, awaken memories, and become the soundtrack of our lives. WHEN THE RADIO... is more than a show: it's an invitation to dive into a musical journey that reflects my tastes, my influences, and my timeless favorites. Songs that make you dance, melodies that touch you, and choruses that stay with you long after they've fallen silent. It's an ode to those suspended moments, when music transports us and brings us together. Between classic hits, forgotten treasures, and personal interpretations, this show celebrates the diversity and emotional power of music. Let yourself be carried away by these familiar and even surprising tunes. Perhaps, like me, you'll find yourself singing along, dreaming, or simply smiling...
